Business basics of blogs

Blogs have been a buzz word online for several years now but many small companies are failing to take advantage of the marketing opportunities provided by them.

In essence, a blog is an online diary that anyone can read, and that is easy to update regularly adding elements like links, photos or video clips filling out a simple form. Initially blogs were used by private individuals to document their daily life or adventures travelling, artists and musicians started using them and social networks like Blogger got popular fast as people surfed around looking for blogs that were fun to read or written about an interesting life.

In the business world they’ve found a number of uses, most commonly as a type of newsletter add-on to a company website. The simple updating features mean that anyone can add the latest news to the website rather than paying out for a web designer every time. After a while the blog builds into a large archive of keyword rich content which is great for search engine optimisation as well.

These basic principles carry over well to a small business owner with a basic website, no search engine profile and no web skills; adding a blog to the site which is updated regularly is going to fill out the site and improve SEO at very little cost, whilst also showing new visitors to the site the latest products, services or photos of jobs completed.

In this way the blog becomes an online company newsletter anyone can check out and which will claim a few search engine listings and bring extra traffic in.

This simple method is a useful tool, but it doesn’t exploit the whole idea of blogs which is to build a regular following; when people subscribe to any blog they receive notifications of blog updates and so come back and visit regularly. You can’t build subscribers purely on press releases and recently completed work photos so you have to get more creative.

Take a mailing list route of making regular special offers through the blog or giving advance notice or pre-sales opportunities on popular new products coming in. Create a benefit to people of signing up for the blog and getting updates sent to them every week and they won’t mind that you’re actually advertising to them.

Push it further creatively by making the blog an interesting read. Perhaps you’re fortunate enough to have an interesting job you can write about online; of course celebrities do well but people in all kinds of creative jobs attract subscribers interested in their world. Specialist knowledge is just as useful; tradesmen can offer DIY tips alongside adverts for their repair service, stockbrokers can run hot tips alongside their trading hotline number and web marketers can

How can a teen boy make money online?

I am a teenage straight A’s male high school student. I home school so I have a lot of free time. I am interested in professional sports (particularly baseball) and am good with graphic and website design. I am trying to figure out how to make money online, but I want to do something more interesting than filling out surveys or clicking ads. How can I make money online with these skills and interests? Is there a way to make money buying and selling on eBay (possibly sports memorabilia)?

Tips To Help Make Your Blogging Stand Out From The Crowd

Blogging is common these days. It seems like there is a blog or a blogger at every turn! A successful blog doesn’t happen quickly or without work. Use what you’ve read here to start your plan to ensure the blog you create is the best it can possibly be.

Money should never be your sole focus. While it is possible to earn cash from your blog, focusing on the money is not going to help you or your blog. Building up a reader base takes a lot of time and effort, and if you’re not passionate about what you’re writing about, it’ll show in your posts. Have a blog about something you already love passionately, and that passion will radiate from your posts. People like to see that.

Stay on top of what’s happening in the blogosphere to make sure your blog is competitive. These blogs are your direct competitors. Like any business, knowing your competition is the best way to beat them. Also remember that while you are looking at their sites, there is a good chance that they are looking at yours.

Patience is one of the most important parts of growing your list of readers. It takes time for your blog to be discovered. Also, it will take time to build up the content base that readers expect from a quality blog. The key to getting more views is the amount of time your blog has existed, as well as the quality and quantity of content.

The topics you write about should be those that are in demand. Blogging about constantly in demand topics is a smart tactic that will ensure that readers will still visit your blog years from now.

Be sure that your “contact us” page has been set up. That will enable your blog readers to contact you anytime they have a question or idea. Your readers could have some very valuable insight and suggestions, so give them a way to share.

Think carefully about using advertisements when you blog. Ads are a way to earn money from your blog. Advertisements can distract readers and hinder your message. Your readers will become aware of your money making efforts once they see your advertisements.

You need to blog regularly if you want readers to trust your blog. If you are not consistently posting new material, you’ll be no competition for countless other blogs that your readers could be reading. Exceptions, like holidays, will be forgiven by your readers, but the rest of the time you must stick to your schedule.

As you start linking, you have to have a good way to watch site statistics to see what’s going on. Pay

Are You Tired Of Reading Happiness Books That Seem To All Prescribe The Same Advice?

What if everything you’ve learned about happiness is wrong?

You’ve heard it before: “Focus on the positive” “Take more action” “Practice an attitude of gratitude” and so on.

Although most happiness books, and this kind of advice, may bring on temporary joy, they are rarely helpful to discover the authentic and permanent happiness that is always present, requires no effort on your part, and is underlying your thoughts, right now.

No matter what obstacles you are facing, the root cause of all our so-called “problems”, and the sense that there is something missing or wrong in our lives, is fundamentally the same: We don’t know who we really are.

You’re about to discover:

• Why no amount of effort, techniques or methods can possibly deliver the happiness you seek

• How to stop worrying and start living in the flow without effort

• How to stop overlooking the authentic happiness, freedom and peace that is already here

• How to eliminate fear, anxiety, lack, depression, anger, and sadness

• How to experience your inherent freedom, here and now, by realizing this one simple thing

• Why will-power is not necessary to experience permanent happiness and peace

• The open secret of pure, boundless, Beingness

• Who you really are beyond your stories of limitation and lack

• How to stop postponing and start experiencing authentic happiness now

• What is at the core of all your searching, seeking and desires – and how to finally fulfill it

• How to realize happiness beyond concepts, story, thoughts and beliefs

If you’ve ever asked yourself…

• What is genuine happiness and how can I experience it now?

• Who am I?

• What is the world and my relation to it?

• What is the nature of suffering and how can I end it?

…then this will be the most important book you will ever read.

The Road Home Starts Here.

I wrote this book to help guide you to realize happiness beyond thought. Step-by-step, this book will reveal the true nature of psychological suffering and how to end it once and for all.

By discovering who you really are you pull the rug out from underneath psychological suffering and any sense that you are limited or lacking in any way. The on-going effort to achieve a better present moment drops and you can finally rest, here and now, as the ever-present peace that you are

This book is my gift to you.
